Check out the Week 20 September 26, 2011 CSA newsletter.
Once in a while, Farmer Liz has a rough week. Week 19 (last week) was one of them. I hurt my back pretty bad on Saturday and getting farm work done with a hurt back is nearly impossible. The stars must have been aligned in my favor because my dear friends Tom & Rebecca of Fair Share Farm and their 2 interns were here on Monday for a workday and farm visit (pictures will be posted soon). With their help most of the Winter CSA season crops got planted in the high tunnel.
My back seems to be on the mend this week which is good because I have lots of things planned; checking on the bees, weeding the fall kale & spinach beds, planting the last two beds in the high tunnel, and starting the sweet potato harvest. I’m looking forward to being able to bend over with no pain!
